The Monetary Workshop was founded almost 40 years ago.

The Monetary Workshop hosts semi-annual events with approximately 70 invited participants from universities, institutes, banks and central banks, ministries, associations, international institutions, NGOs, media and the private sector. The participants have responsibilities in the science and practice of monetary economics. We are politically independent and not affiliated with any party, organization or specific school of thought.

Our discussion give particular emphasis to the current issues in monetary and financial matters. The overview of our past events and the list of our speakers show the breadth and depth of our discussions. During our events, participants have the opportunity to exchange views and experiences and grow their network.

The Monetary Workshop is incorporated as a non-profit, registered association for the promotion of science, research, education and information exchange. Members of the organization have the privileg of participating in the Monetary Workshop’s events. Membership may be established by natural and legal persons.

We organise and host the events of the Monetary Workshop in cooperation with the Schader Foundation in Darmstadt.
