Dr. Karsten Stroborn

Vorsitzender

Dr. Karsten Stroborn holds a degree in economics from the University of Nantes and a diploma in industrial engineering from the University of Karlsruhe (TH). Since his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Ketterer on issues relating to the security of electronic payment systems, he has held various positions at the Deutsche Bundesbank in the central “Markets” division. He has headed this department since April 2023 and, together with his team, is responsible for the operational implementation of the Eurosystem’s monetary policy in Germany, among other things.

Annette Littmann, who holds a doctorate in banking and business administration and is a former journalist, has been supporting investors and the capital market since the 1980s.

Dr. Martin Kessler

Martin Kessler is senior politics editor at the Düsseldorf “Rheinische Post”. He holds a doctorate in economics and is responsible for the media company’s opinion section. He was previously economic correspondent for the parliamentary editorial department of “WirtschaftsWoche” as well as head of the economics department and head of the parliamentary office of the “Rheinische Post” in Berlin.

Christian Lips

Christian Lips (CIIA/CEFA), Chief Economist at Norddeutsche Landesbank since 2018, has been responsible for economic analyses and forecasts on economic and monetary policy as well as interest rate and FX developments for more than 16 years. From 2014 to 2016, he also prepared the economic forecast for the Lower Saxony Institute of Economic Research (NIW).

He has received a variety of awards for his forecasting accuracy. In addition, the magazine €uro has repeatedly chosen him as Interest Rate Forecaster of the Year.

 

Prof. Dr. Ulrike Neyer

Ulrike Neyer is Professor of Economics at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. She researches and teaches in the fields of monetary economics and macroeconomics. She is particularly interested in the monetary policy of the Eurosystem, the implementation of monetary policy and monetary policy in macroeconomic models.

Dr. Maria C. Schweinberger

Board of Directors

Maria is a capital markets and restructuring attorney admitted to the bar in New York and in Germany. Her Ph.D. thesis explored the resolution of systemically important financial institutions in the US, Germany and the UK. She lives in London and blogs at www.plumberinapantsuit.com.
